InfiNet Wireless, a global leader in Fixed Broadband Wireless technology, last week participated in their tenth consecutive Gitex Technology Week. The event, held annually in Dubai, is the largest communications and technology trade fair in the Middle East and brings together exhibitors and visitors from the telecommunications and IT sectors from countries and regions such as the Middle East, South-East Asia, Africa, and Europe.
The InfiNet Wireless stand attracted over 1,000 visitors, mainly from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Pakistan, Jordan, Ghana, Turkey, Lebanon, Morocco and Egypt. The company’s management team and technical experts were on hand to meet with both new and existing partners and end users, to discuss specific regional projects, as well as update each other on general wireless technology trends.
During the event, InfiNet Wireless unveiled the InfiLINK XG 1000, the latest addition to an already-extensive Point-to-Point portfolio. Designed specifically to meet the backhauling needs of Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs) and enterprises of all types for applications such as 4G/LTE backhauls, digital oilfield connectivity and homeland security, the InfiLINK 1000 can provide throughputs of up to 1 Gigabit per second over the air in 5 GHz license-free frequency bands. This is effectively doubling the capacity of InfiNet's current high performing product, the InfiLINK XG. The InfiLINK XG 1000 is the fastest Point-to-Point wireless solution currently available in the marketplace today.
In addition to the InfiLINK XG 1000, InfiNet Wireless has also successfully launched an extended range of the InfiLINK XG models which now support new frequency bands such as 2.x GHz, 3.x GHz and 4.x GHz, as well as the previously available 5.x GHz and 6.x GHz bands. With spectral efficiency as high as 13 Mbps/Hz and a real throughput of up to 130 Mbps in just 10M Hz of spectrum, the InfiLINK XG models are ideal for unlicensed backhauling in the standard Wi-Fi frequency bands. This is ideal for applications such as mobile operator backhauls and high-capacity access, in-band small-cell LTE backhaul and public safety networks.
InfiNet Wireless also launched its revamped InfiMAN 2x2 product family, complemented by a brand-new smart antenna base station sector unit - known as the Qmxb, and a new range of subscriber terminals fitted with 300 mW (25 dBm) radio transmit modules. This latest addition to the Point-to-Multipoint family was designed specifically for high-density WISP applications, video surveillance deployments in areas where unlicensed 5 GHz spectrum is congested and for Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) wireless connectivity in urban environments.
The company has now been directly active in the EMEA regions for more than ten years and interest generated from this has been increasing steadily, as shown by the many deployments achieved within the region across every vertical sector of the industry.
“InfiNet is committed to staying at the forefront of the global wireless industry, continuing its close partnership with various partners in the Middle East region and bringing to its customers the very latest wireless technologies to not only satisfy their growing demand for high-bandwidth connectivity, but to also add significant value to their own business models. Our innovative product portfolio and flexible business approach have earned us a reputation second-to-none and contributed to our company becoming the de-facto choice for many service providers from all sectors of the industry”, said Kamal Mokrani, Global Vice President of InfiNet Wireless.
As part of a strategic drive to expand its presence in the region, InfiNet Wireless have confirmed their attendance at AfricaCom - 2016, the largest and most influential Africa-focused technology event, which will take place in Cape Town, South Africa, between November 15th and 17th, 2016, on stand A19.
