The solutions on display highlighted how service providers would add value to their businesses by offering new and innovative IoT and 5G services.
Infinet Wireless, the global leader in fixed broadband wireless connectivity, showcased its latest high spectral efficiency solutions and how they would deliver increased capacity at a lower cost, at the Telecommunication Forum (TELFOR) 2019.
At TELFOR – which took place in Belgrade, Serbia, from Tuesday, November 26th to Wednesday, November 27th – Infinet showcased its ground-breaking Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology, a family of solutions which includes Quanta 5 and Quanta 70, both using even less spectrum than previous generations of wireless technologies whilst at the same time delivering more capacity with a reduced cost of ownership.
As the industry’s highest spectral efficiency solution, Infinet’s Quanta 5 is designed to enable service providers to meet the increasing demand for bandwidth, empowering them to add new services to their portfolio and offer innovative Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G services and applications. The all-in-one solution is suitable for a diverse range of applications including backhauling for base stations, transmission of high-resolution CCTV and video streams, as well as providing reliable Internet access to the most remote locations.
This new 5 GHz Point-to-Point (PTP) solution can operate seamlessly at extreme temperatures and can mitigate interference in noisy environments, delivering an unprecedented performance in less frequency spectrum.
“As the demand across the industry for enhanced, more reliable and higher throughput wireless infrastructures continues to increase, Infinet Wireless is committed to enabling service providers and operators of all sizes to achieve new levels of spectral efficiency,” said Roman Smirnov, Commercial Director at Infinet Wireless. “At TELFOR, we demonstrated how our innovative Quanta 5 and Quanta 70 solutions can achieve exactly this, providing operators with the tools to deliver increased capacity at a lower cost, empowering them to add value to their businesses and monetize new and innovative IoT and 5G services to their customers.”
Infinet also showcased its latest product addition within the 71-76 GHz frequency band – the Quanta 70. This family of wireless solutions has been designed to deliver performance up to 480 Mbps in a 125 MHz channel size, covering distances of up to 5 km. This frequency band is also characterized by low usage, an absence of licensing and can be used to create high-density networks with minimal interference from other wireless infrastructures.
TELFOR is an international annual meeting for professionals involved with the broad fields of Telecommunications and Information Technologies. Attended mostly by telecommunications engineers, operators and service providers, this event is also open to economists, jurists, managers, governmental officials, students, researchers and other professionals, all keen to learn about all aspects of Telecommunications and IT.
