On September 18th and 19th, InfiNet Wireless took part in the 17th edition of the BESEDA-17 conference, an event which attracts all the major players in the Russian telecommunications industry. Under the sponsorship of one of Infinet’s oldest channel partners, namely Comptek, this year’s event focused primarily on wireless access technologies and their applications in various industry sectors in Russia.
Traditionally, the conference brings together telecom operators, equipment manufacturers, system integrators, governing authorities, etc.. This year’s theme, dubbed as “The New Face of the wireless market in Russia” reflected the trend of rapid changes happening across all industries and the realities of the modern telecoms market in Russia. The issues discussed in Moscow will go a long way towards shaping up the wireless technologies and future strategies for years to come. They included the most significant factors driving the needs for wireless solutions today, such as pushing the boundaries of traditional businesses to reach customers usually out of reach due to poor or inexistent infrastructure, changing the way enterprises communicate with each other, etc.
Andrey Koynov (CTO) and Roman Smirnov (Director of Business development) for InfiNet have presented the company’s latest technologies, allowing the deployment of a brand new range of subscriber terminals aimed at optimizing existing radio spectrum and significantly improving productivity. A new Network Management System (NMS) was also showcased, greatly increasing the usability of Infinet’s solutions and their integration into existing higher level management systems.
