InfiNet raises the bar on wireless network performance with InfiMAN upgrades

Broadband wireless specialist InfiNet Wireless has updated several key product offerings from its MIMO InfiMAN family of Point-to-Multipoint base stations and subscriber terminals, providing faster performance, higher throughput and more cost effective solutions to its channel partners and end customers all over the world.

From government authorities to wireless internet service providers (WISP), organisations across the globe are already using InfiNet’s InfiMAN 2x2 product line-up to deliver everything from high speed corporate networks, to triple play services, long range rural connectivity and CCTV and video surveillance deployments.

Now InfiNet has launched even better performing products with significant technological upgrades to its flagship models: R5000-Smn PTP and subscriber terminal (and the R5000-Lmn connectorised variant), R5000-Smnc subscriber terminal, and R5000-Smnb base station.

All these new portfolio additions feature improved packet performance over their predecessors (i.e. 90,000 packets per second - , which is up from 40,000 pps in te previous generation of LITE solutions), thus enabling end customers to offer even faster and more reliable services.

These new models are fully compatible with all existing InfiMAN 2X2 base stations and InfiLINK 2X2 LITE models, and support the “Transient” model to enable connections to non-MIMO (Multiple-Input/Multiple-Output) units.

The new Smn/Lmn models are also compatible with all types of indoor units offered by InfiNet and mounting kits, enabling end customers to upgrade without incurring unnecessary extra expenses.

Additional enhancements also include software-controlled Power over Ethernet (PoE) output functionality for a secondary Ethernet port, replacing the hardware-enabled PoE of previous models.

The new subscriber terminal and base station products are available to order now and start shipping immediately.
