InfiNet Wireless, a leading manufacturer of fixed broadband wireless connectivity, has announced that its solutions have been selected for the construction of the national telecommunications infrastructure in Kazakhstan, operated by KazTransCom JSC.
InfiNet Wireless, along with its local partner Muvicom, discussed extensively with both Informsviaz-Kazakhstan and KazTransCom JSC the overall strategy for solving the issues associated with digital inequality and improve the telecommunications infrastructure in the Republic of Kazakhstan – not only in the large cities like Astana and Alma-Ata, but also in the central and western regions of the country.
It was finally agreed that such an infrastructure would be mainly based on InfNet’s Point-to-Point family of solutions (i.e. InfiLINK 2x2) which will be used to provide the main connectivity requirements with distances of up to 50km, especially in areas where KazTransCom does not already have a physical presence. InfiNet’s Point-to-Multipoint solutions (i.e. InfiMAN 2x2) will also be widely deployed in the access layer to provide ‘last mile’ connectivity for corporate clients.
“Kazakhstan is a strategically important region for InfiNet thanks to its large number of potential broadband and carrier-class radio customers. The first phase has already been delivered to KazTransCom and additional deployment plans are in place for Q1 - 2014.InfiNet is looking forward to supporting the development of the telecommunications infrastructure in the entire country”, said Roman Smirnov, Business Development Director for InfiNet Wireless.
