Easy as one, two three – InfiNet Wireless Launches Most User-friendly Point-to-Point Link Planning Service on the Market

InfiNet Wireless, the global leader in fixed broadband wireless connectivity, today announced the launch of InfiPLANNER – a new cloud-based point-to-point (PTP) link planning service which revolutionizes the user experience to enable anyone, regardless of their level of technical knowledge, to build and plan a wireless network.

Set out like a game, the intuitive link planning service consists of just three steps: Plan, Estimate and Deploy. The interface has been specifically designed to simplify the user experience by leading the customer through all stages of the process, assisting partners and customers alike in the presale and marketing process and carrying out estimations for throughput, distance and availability in just a few mouse clicks.

Users can choose between two types of estimations – Abstract Line of Sight (LoS) link estimations and Geo-based link planning. The former is a handy presales and marketing tool to quickly respond to customers’ requests for information, while the latter provides a sophisticated environment for estimating the performance of links between the points with known coordinates. In this case InfiPLANNER visualizes the path profile, indicating the first Fresnel zone obstruction and calculating expected link capacity for clear LoS, as well as near/non LoS profiles by using the combination of ITU-R P.540 and Longley-Rice propagation models, while taking into account climate zone.

Dmitry Okorokov, Chief Executive Officer at InfiNet Wireless, said: “The new InfiPLANNER is part of our ongoing efforts to improve our core products – as well as the auxiliary tools. As well as making it possible for anyone to plan and build a wireless network – including those with only basic knowledge of radio technology and limited human resource – it also delivers more accurate results.”

InfiPLANNER has been integrated into InfiNet Wireless’ existing suite of wireless products and services and can be used by anyone, partners and customers alike.  The new service effectively replaces and incorporates the functionality that was previously available through InfiNet Wireless’ PTP Link Estimator and Range Calculator tools.
