InfiNet Wireless, the leading global manufacturer of broadband wireless solutions, recently showcased its latest software-defined radio (SDR) technology solution at this year’s Mobile World Congress Shanghai (MWCS 2018) - one of the most prestigious events dedicated for mobile and wireless technologies in the region.
The event – which was held between June 27 to 29 in Shanghai, China – attracted the most prominent technology manufacturers, mobile and fixed operators, and Internet service providers from the communications industry, with a truly international attendance represented by exhibitors and guests from more than 112 countries.
The solution introduced at MWCS this year, the Quanta 5, is built on the most advanced hardware platform using InfiNet’s latest SDR technology. The Quanta 5 significantly increases the level of spectral efficiency optimisation and has a capacity of up to 450 Mbps in just 40 MHz of the 5 GHz band. It can also be deployed in a diverse range of applications, such as backhauling for WiFi and 4G/LTE base stations, in CCTV and video-surveillance infrastructures, as well as for providing Internet access to both remote locations and small organisations with a ramified infrastructure.
At the exhibition, the innovative wireless technology sparked interest from both small and large Chinese operators including China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom. During the event, negotiations were also held with representatives of manufacturing companies, as well as oil and gas sector enterprises. The InfiNet booth also brought together global executives from the company's management team of whom were interviewed by both the local and international press.
The Chinese market is one of the most promising for global business development for InfiNet Wireless. To date, the company has established a reputation as a reliable solutions provider for some of the largest Chinese corporations. Over the past three years, several projects have been implemented using InfiNet solutions. This has included the deployment of a video surveillance system in the Zhongyuan oil field area for SINOPEC Group, the launch of a fixed broadband wireless network in Xinjiang Province for China Mobile and the development of a video surveillance and process control network at Dongying oil field in Shandong Province for China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation.
Kamal Mokrani, Global Vice President at InfiNet Wireless said: "China is certainly a huge market for us and we have entered it with a number of new solutions. We offer the Chinese market our highest quality products at a competitive price across all industry sectors, which is a huge advantage for us. Our solution will have a significant contribution to the future development of communication standards for 5G and artificial intelligence technologies."
