The Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX 2017), held between October 8th and 12th in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), is a major IT and telecoms industry event in the Middle East and Africa and is an ideal a platform for companies of all types to expand their businesses in the region.
This year marked the 11th consecutive year for InfiNet Wireless' attendance at GITEX. The interest in InfiNet's solutions from around the region has been increasing steadily every year, as evidenced by the large number of current partners who visited the company's booth, as well as new and potential customers from various industry sectors such as Oil & Gas, WISP's, government and transportation.
The Middle East is one of the very first regions of the world which deployed wireless platforms based on InfiNet's solutions and is the region where the most long-standing InfiNet partners are located. Going as far back as 2004, the company's solutions have been used for implementing wide area video surveillance networks in Saudi Arabia, providing backhaul links for the largest telecom operators in the UAE (Du), Oman (Ooredoo), Kuwait (Mada), Saudi Arabia (ITC) and Lebanon (Mada Connect), as well as for providing high-quality broadband connectivity for remote facilities for mining enterprises, manufacturing companies and universities across the region.
This year at GITEX, the company showcased its latest wireless solutions, including the InfiLINK XG 1000, a brand new platform which provides bandwidth of up to 1 Gbit/s in 5 GHz license-free frequency bands, as well as the R5000-Qmxb base station sector, a new generation of beamforming solutions fitted with the latest technology for interference mitigation whilst delivering up to 240 Mbit/s per sector over distance of 20 km or more.
These solutions are perfect for a range of applications, from providing backhauling connectivity to 4G/5G service providers to deploying video surveillance networks for remote monitoring of assets and the environment, and ultimately for implementing Smart City projects. The flexibility and range of solutions offered by InfiNet are what makes the company the number one choice for service providers of all types.
Dmitry Okorokov, CEO at InfiNet Wireless commented: "We are constantly monitoring and participating in various Smart City trends and projects so we can continuously move forward with our solutions and evolve with our customers. InfiNet Wireless solutions provide the highest bandwidth available in the marketplace, support a wide range of frequencies and provide great value for money – all customer benefits which contribute to the true realisation of 5G applications via the use of flexible wireless technologies. InfiNet Wireless is looking forward to further developing its portfolio of solutions and applications in the Middle East region as well as globally."
