When something challenges the world people get used to as the COVID-19 pandemic did, it’s a no-brainer we need to turn to ‘Plan B’ and overcome the obstacles. That’s what a business, as highly specialized as Infinet Wireless is, should do first.
Many industries were seriously damaged because of these unforeseen circumstances but we're proud to say the current situation not only didn’t influence our workflow but also helped us keep thriving. And we can confidently say 2021, despite all the pessimistic predictions about being even more depressive, marked Infinet Wireless’ safe return to the business track.
New markets
In the very beginning of the year we’ve managed to set up our long-awaited presence in India, one of the most vibrant and emerging markets at the moment. Our products are to be integrated perfectly into the most strategically important sectors for the country's economy. Besides, Infinet Wireless devices are known for their ability to operate in the harshest weather conditions, such as extremely high humidity, heavy rains and strong winds India is famous for. To address Indian companies’ interest towards these outstanding solutions, last November we hosted a virtual event dedicated to Infinet Wireless’ products integration into the Smart City infrastructure, which is very relevant to modern India.
As for today, work in the African market is in progress, too. The process was undoubtedly slowed down because of the pandemic, but we did really well, having a new office in Cameroon opened last year. Infinet Wireless continues growing the presence in other regions in Africa.
Virtual events
In the spring of 2021 we held a series of online events called Infinet Wireless Tech Day 2021, exclusively designed for engineers and technical specialists in the field of wireless technology. There, our professionals shared insights on how to deploy and optimize reliable networks, improving the reliability of the connection; how to deal with ever-growing traffic demand without sacrificing the quality, and finally, how to select reliable and scalable solutions vendors who will support its customers in any circumstances. It was a huge success for us, and caused the attention of many prospective partners. We even held a similar event for the French-speaking attendees from the countries of West Africa.
Specialized exhibitions
In 2021, we took part in two biggest industrial happenings, Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona (Spain) and GITEX Technology Week in Dubai (UAE). The latest one was especially productive, as it traditionally became a meeting point for the company’s country and regional managers. All of them gathered there, introducing Infinet Wireless solutions to the visitors. They accentuated the demand for broadband connectivity solutions for bridging the digital divide and strengthening the existing network infrastructure.
This year, we’ve also strengthened our presence in the American market, also returning as an exhibitor to WISPAPALOOZA, the most important industry event in the Western Hemisphere. Infinet Wireless has been very active in the region, deploying new projects and earning new collaborations constantly. At WISPAPALOOZA Infinet Wireless was showcasing the Evolution product family featuring the InfiLINK Evolution Point-to-Point solution and InfiMAN Evolution Point-to-Multipoint solution.
New products
The much-appreciated Evolution family became a flagship range of products in 2021n. The InfiMAN Evolution base station demonstrates outstanding performance, ultimately helping to generate extra profit. It also has a built-in router functionality, eliminating the hassle and cost of installing a router at the customer’s premises.
The Point-to-Point counterpart of the InfiMAN Evolution, which is called InfiLINK Evolution, is another star in our product portfolio. It delivers impressive throughput and facilitates the control of traffic security thanks to a built-in firewall and rich security features. This product family can be deployed in a wide array of applications, such as WISP last mile access, high-capacity infrastructure backhauls, long-range rural connectivity, in support of Smart City solutions, safe zones monitoring/surveillance systems, and traffic management framework.
Our innovations are being backed up by our brilliant R&D team, who capture the zeitgeist and create the most demanded products in the wireless broadband connectivity industry. It can be confirmed by the wide geography of Infinet Wireless’ installations and integrations. Creating the Smart City infrastructure in Las Condes community of Santiago de Chile, building up a radio link of 180 km to provide connectivity in challenging terrain of Indonesia, backing up the essential data of Omani company Muscat Overseas Group, spotting traffic violations on Kazakhstan’s roads, to name a few. We’re excited to launch some new projects of the same scale with our current and prospective partners next year.
“Continuing adapting to the ‘new normal’, we accept the rules and demonstrate our flexibility. Infinet Wireless is proud to be a disruptive company which managed to keep being profitable. Thanks to our R&D professional team and the network of reliable partners we’re making happen the dream of many people in the world who believe in digital equity,” Dmitry Okorokov, CEO of Infinet Wireless, put it concisely.
